In 1985 while still attending school, home computers started becoming mainstream, with the Commodore C64 being the affordable game changer. I immediately capitalized on this exciting opportunity!
Later, when the Internet started connecting the world in the 90ies, I saw a tremendous potential in changing the way television content got traded.
A basic stock market simulation allowing to trade several companies' shares based on prices determined by random (ficticious) market events.
At a time when action games dominated the home computer market, this has been among the first educational games. The German language version "Börsenspiel" for Germany, Austria and Switzerland has been sold to a major European bank for being distributed to schools for free.
A platform called GOLD (Global On-Line Distribution), where TV broadcasters and producers connect online, and full-length content is downloaded (in low resolution) for pre-purchase review.
At that time, global TV program trade has been conducted primarily at trade shows. Buyers received VHS tapes for review, and pricing has been intransparent due to programs sold in bundles only. A few traders dominated the global market and made its rules. GOLD's idea has been to enable direct transactions on individual programs.

Bitcoin mining is the industrial mechanism backing the bitcoin network which requires physical infrastructure to maintain. When bitcoin (BTC) traded at USD 90,000, miners were able to generate ("mine") one for only USD 55,000.
I'm Chief Relations Officer (CRO) and shareholder of Aurum Capital Ventures, a US based builder/operator of modular bitcoin mining sites. As of 2024, Aurum ran 40 MW total (30 MW own sites, 10 MW built/operated for clients).
